Excluding Israel from Songfestival would be “outrageous”, says German Chancellor

The German Chancellor Friedrich Merz wants Germany to not be able to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest Boycot if Israel. In an interview with TV channel Ard, Merz said that it is “outrageous” that the participation of Israel in the Songfestival is under discussion. “Israel is just part of it,” said Merz.
