In Newcastle everything continues to run according to plan for Nick Woltemade. The DFB striker was also able to contribute a goal to victory over Nottingham.
Nick Woltemade continues to start in the Premier League: In the 2-0 victory of Newcastle United against Nottingham Forest, the German international made a penalty on Sunday afternoon. It was his third competitive goal in a row.
After a goalless first half, Bruno Guimarães put the “Magpies” in the lead in the 58th minute. Woltemade (84th) increased from the point late in the game – his shot landed precisely in the corner.
During his replacement in added time, Woltemade was adopted by the fans with great applause. It was only during the week that the 23-year-old had met an international stage for the first time in the 4-0 win in the Champions League against Union St. Gilloise.
Unlike for Newcastle, Crystal Palace did not run smoothly on Sunday. The team of coach Oliver Glasner lost 1: 2 (1-0) at Everton FC and thus conceded the first defeat of the season. Daniel Muñoz (38th) put the guests in the lead before Iliman Ndiaye (76th) and Jack Grialish (90.+3) turned the game.
Liverpool FC remains behind the expectations. The defending champion was defeated by Chelsea 1-2 (0: 1) on Saturday and fell back to second place. FC Arsenal is the new league leader after a 2-0 (1: 0) against West Ham United.
