Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig left Big Points in the Bundesliga tracking duel. Before the second top game of the sixth game day between Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayern Munich, both teams separated 1: 1 (1: 1) and stay behind the record champion to second place (BVB) and three (Leipzig).
In an intense but less spectacular top duel, Dortmund’s Yan Couto (23rd minute) equalized the leadership of Leipzig’s Christoph Baumgartner (7th) in front of 81,365 spectators in the Signal Iduna Park, which was sold out again.
This means that the Dortmunders have been undefeated since the season, but have been missing at least a temporary jump to the top of the table. Dortmund was closer to victory, especially at the end of the game. After four wins, Leipzig left points again.
Werder Bremen defeats FC St. Pauli Knapp
FC St. Pauli remains a favorite opponent of Werder Bremen. The green-whites won the northern duel 1-0 (1: 0) and have been undefeated for 18 games against the Kiezkicker. In his own stadium, Bremen has never lost in the Bundesliga against FC St. Pauli.
In front of 42,100 spectators in the sold -out Weser Stadium, Samuel Mbangula Werder brought the lead in the second minute. While the Bremeners worked into the middle of the table thanks to the second win of the season, the Hamburgers conceded the third defeat in a row. The good start of the season is forgotten again.
Werder coach Horst Steffen had announced a kind of restart for his team before the game. “The opening program was difficult, we had late newcomers, had injuries who came back. Now there are opponents where we can show what we can do on it,” Steffen had said in advance.
Bayer Leverkusen defeats Union Berlin and worries about Grimaldo
The concern about playmaker Alejandro Grimaldo has overshadowed Bayer Leverkusen’s home win. In the 2-0 (1-0) against Union Berlin, the Spaniard collapsed unhappily with his own teammate Christian Kofane shortly before the break in the penalty area, bleeded the head and had to be stunned with a stretcher.
“He was briefly gone and has a wound on the head that is now sewn,” said Leverkusen’s director of the license, Thomas Eichin, during the half-time break at the Pay TV channel “Sky”. The goals for the Werkelf – which had to cope with the injuries of some service providers recently – scored in front of 30,210 spectators in the sold -out Leverkusen stadium Ernest Poku (33rd minute) and the 19 -year -old Kofane (49th).
Compared to the Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven (1-1), Bayer coach Kaspar Hjulmand made a change in his starting eleven: Axel Tape, who had injured himself during the week, was replaced by the fellow again Lucas Vázquez. At Union, András Schäfer and Woyeong Jeong for Janik Haberer and Ilyas looked into the initial formation.
FC Augsburg convinced against VfL Wolfsburg
Sandro Wagner has mastered his first major pressure situation as a Bundesliga coach with flying colors. The 37 -year -old celebrated the second win of the season after four defeats in a row with FC Augsburg at 3-1 (1-0) in the home game against VfL Wolfsburg. In the table, the FCA passed the Mauen Wolfsburgers (5) with six points.
“Personally, I have learned the last two or three weeks more than in the five years before,” said Wagner before the game at the streaming service. In the training week, after the low point at the 1-2 in Heidenheim, he declared “an open competition”, the young chief coach reported.
This culminated in terms of personnel in the exchange of half the starting eleven. And the change went up. Two youngsters who came to the team made the pioneering game for the ideal start in the 3. minute. After a corner, the 20-year-old Mert Kömür flanked in front of the goal, where 18-year-old defender Noahkai Banks shot the ball with his first Bundesliga goal Volley.
The outstanding Kömür increased in front of 28,200 spectators after the break after a strong preparatory work by Chrislain Matsima (51st). And Kömür also initiated the attack that Robin Fellhauer completed to 3: 0 (63.). The guests had only one answer in the onset and then stormy rain: Adam Daghim shortened after a counterattack on Mohammed Amoura, Wolfsburg’s best.
