Justine Marcella, nowadays the royalty watcher of Story, advises King Willem-Alexander to start a lawsuit against private. “What a hat that is!”, Evert Santegoeds shouts.
The private is the center of attention thanks to the publication of the images of Princess Alexia and singer Antoon. A real bidding war took place behind the scenes around this tape. Story was also interested, but privately made the highest bid. A smart move by Evert Santegoeds, whose private is just as good on the map.
“What a hat!”
Evert has had a very busy week. “Even with RTL Boulevard! That was a long time since I had such an orange microphone under my nose, but they were very nice and Jeroen soon,” he says in the podcast Strictly private.
Who has disappointed him? “There was a lady who works at the Story, which was not mentioned further, and he just calls on the king to start a lawsuit. What a journalist for nothing? Then you have to go to work at the RVD! It also looked like it was a lady of the RVD. What a hat!”
What did Justine say?
This is of course about Justine Marcella, the royalty watcher from Story. She said in Pauw & De Wit: “If the king is smart, then he would make a lawsuit of this. (…) Maybe he thinks: this is blowing over again, while you can now also make a point of: we don’t want this. His father Prince Claus did that in the past.”
Bizarre, Evert believes such a remark of a competitivega. Certainly since the Story itself also bid on the tape. “A colleague calling himself a royalty journalist who is going to call:” If the king is smart, then he starts a lawsuit, “yes, he has to do other work. But she already does that, because she works at the Story.”
Slept out
Jort Kelder was also so strange about the issue, says Evert. “He does not know who Amalia is and who Alexia is, but he just sits there as a professional talk show guest. He no longer reads.”
Finally: does he think that Princess Alexia slept badly with all the fuss? “I don’t know. I don’t think so. In London? No, I can’t imagine that she woke up for a second. She must have been curious about how she’s on it. That’s important at that age.”
