Madonna and hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur († 1996) were a couple from 1993 to 1995. The singer had confirmed this two years ago in the “Howard Stern Show”.
Now you can at least assume what the real reason was that the liaison of the two only held briefly. How TMZ reports, the letter is auctioned, in which the cult -revered rapper explains the reason for the separation of his still more prominent partner. Tupac wrote the letter from the prison in which he was sitting on sexual harassment.
In the letter, the then 24 -year -old musician problematized that she is white and that he is black.
“Your career would not endanger it in any way if you were seen with a black man. It would make you look even more open and exciting”, he writes. “But for me (…) it would mean a lot of people who made me to let me down.”

Did Tupac left Madonna because she is white?
Tupac’s mother was a member of the Black Panther activist group. The unexplained question would be: did he fear his “people down” when he stayed with Madonna?
Letter is auctioned
The letter that is now between July 19 and 28 “Gotta Have Rock and Roll” should go under the hammer for 100,000 euros, ends with the words: “I offer you my friendship again. Only this time it will be much stronger and more focused.”
Only 18 months after Tupac wrote the letter, he died at a shootout in Las Vegas. Madonna said in 2015 about the love relationship: “It was the time when I met Tupac. And he changed my perspective on life in general.”
