Even after the most recent interim update of the Bundesliga market values, record champion FC Bayern Munich still dominates the most valuable eleven in the German upper house in terms of main positions. Eight players with the highest market values are in coach Julian Nagelsmann’s squad. Dayot Upamecano (23), with a 10 million minus to 45 million euros, is still one of the most valuable central defenders in the Bundesliga.
However, the gap to Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, who is valued at €40m, has narrowed significantly. With the 23-year-old, his teammate Moussa Diaby (22), who has increased to 55 million euros, and RB Leipzig’s top scorer Christopher Nkunku (24), three players are preparing to challenge Bayern’s dominance in the most valuable team place.
The new French national player Nkunku increased to 65 million euros, which put him in the overall top 10 of the most valuable Bundesliga professionals – but there are also Leroy Sané (26), Serge Gnabry (26) and also in his positions Florian Wirtz (18), who are each at 70 million euros, are even more valuable players. Without his serious knee injury, Wirtz might have made the next step in this update and thus also had a secure place in the top eleven. Depending on the system, he would already have this as an attacking midfielder – he is only missing from this line-up because of his still long downtime. With the transfer market tool “Most Valuable Elf” that can be used for each league, the selection can be made with different systems.
As a rule, three Dortmunders are definitely there: Gregor Kobel (24) is the most valuable Bundesliga goalkeeper and also among the top 15 worldwide, Jude Bellingham (18) in midfield with his 75 million euros is only beaten by the most valuable German professional Joshua Kimmich (27) was surpassed with 85 million euros and Erling Haaland (21) is the second most valuable professional worldwide with 150 million euros.
