In October 2023, weeks before Javier Milei defeated Sergio Massa in the Ballotage, Lilia Lemoine surprised in an interview with Baby Etchecopar. Before the driver’s praise to José Luis Espert, the libertarian deputy responded with a burst of accusations:

“So you love people who steal campaign money, who mistreat people, who are misogynistic? He is a treacherous person. I was disarming tongos to wake up. They stayed with campaign money and had problems with drug traffic Campaign?”.

The phrase, launched in the air of A24, pointed to the delicate side: the alleged spert link with drug trafficking, an accusation that today returns to the stage in the midst of new judicial complaints. That same year, Lemoine had already redoubled the bet on Twitter/X:

“No, Espert is with Larreta since 2019 and got to do politics for twine. 18 million pesos in fine put him for dripping the guita of the ballots in 2021. In 2019 a narco banked him. And I militated it without knowing … waking you.”

The relationship between Lemoine and Espert is a saga of alliances and ruptures that crosses all the recent history of Argentine libertarism. In 2019, she was one of the digital drivers of her presidential candidacy, defended it with the “Wait us” network and came to integrate its lists. But he was soon betrayed: in 2021 the audios and statements began where he accused him of misogynist, corrupt and pactist with together for the change, while denouncing that his campaign had been financed by dirty money.

From 2022 the disqualifications were made public and fierce, with references to trout tickets, links with drug traffickers and even shootings. In 2023, already aligned with Milei, Lemoine brought that enmity to television, accusing Espert of “traitor” and “valijero.” However, the policy ended up gathering them: in 2024 both shared a block in La Libertad advances, and in 2025 they celebrated together the formal affiliation of sister to space. Pragmatism forced them to live together, although the narco scandal that exploded in September again put the old files into circulation.

In summary, Lemoine went from strategic ally to enemy and, finally, to circumstantial partner. The images of that crossing with Baby Etchecopar, today revived in social networks, remember that in libertarian policy yesterday’s accusations never end up.
