Number of building permits in the first half of the year at the lowest level since 1998

The number of building permits granted for homes in Belgium has fallen further to the lowest level since 1998 in the first half of the year, according to the latest figures from Statbel that were published on Tuesday. Specifically, permits were awarded in our country in the first six months for the construction of 20,160 homes (single -family homes and flats). That is the lowest number since 1998, when 18,641 homes were licensed.
