After the European Championship before the new NBA season-and the Wagner brothers Franz and Moritz want to play for the title with Orlando Magic.
“We have high hopes and expectations for this season,” said the newly baked basketball European champion Franz Wagner as part of Orlando’s Media Day: “It is time to enter new territory. Not only for this group, but for the entire franchise.”
In the past two seasons, the team from the US state of Florida had been eliminated in the first round of play-offs.
Orlando now wants to stop this trend this season – and take several steps forward.
“It is by far the most talented team that we have ever had here. The pressure is great, the time has come,” said Moritz Wagner, who did not call a possible date for a return after his cruciate ligament rupture suffered last December: “We want to win the championship, we train for that.” For this, however, the team will “grow together”, said the older Wagner brother.
Franz Wagner had only won the European title with the German national team together with Magic teammate Tristan Da Silva in mid-September. Moritz Wagner had accompanied the games as an expert in magenta.
