The law that entered into force in October 2022 comes to an end. The original two -year deadline was extended for another year due to the great demand and the delays that the consulates had.

- Children and grandchildren of Spaniards of origin
- Descendants of Spanish womenwho lost their nationality by marrying foreigners before the 1978 Constitution.
- Children of legal age of those who regained nationality by this law or by the previous Historical Memory Law.
- Children of exiled Spaniards for political, ideological or persecution reasons during the dictatorship.
What is the step by step?
- Have the Spanish data, in order to request the Birth Literal Act to Spain.
- Obtain all the documents that prove the link with the Spanish
- Request an appointment (each consulate is handled differently)
- Present the file, it is done in person at the Consulate and present all the documentation in physical format
