The incident happened on Saturday morning around six o’clock in the center of Roeselare in a eatery in the Wilgenstraat. The 39-year-old man stabbed the victim and then fled, the public prosecutor reports. The 35-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to the sick home, but is no longer in danger. The public prosecutor has appointed an investigating judge and the lab is on site.
The police are currently using all means to detect the perpetrator.
