In the night of Tuesday (September 23rd), shots were given to the Warner Music Sweden office in Stockholm. While the police do not want to comment on a possible motive, Swedish media assume a connection to the murder of the Swedish rapper C.Gambino.

Like the Swedish newspaper “Svenska Dagbladet” reported, an unknown Tuesday night fired shots at the entrance gate of the building at around four in the morning, in which the record label is housed. In February, an explosive device near the residence of a high -ranking official of Warner Music Sweden exploded, reported “HipHop.de”. A 15-year-old from Gothenburg was arrested and convicted a short time later. He stated that he had carried out the crime on behalf of a third party.
Threat and blackmail after rapper murder
The official had been threatened in advance, as media reported. The demand: he had to pay two and a half million crowns, the equivalent of around 225,000 euros, otherwise there will be an attack on his house. According to the authorities, the extortion attempt went back to cooperation between Warner Music and C.Gambino. In the letter of claim, it was that the murdered rapper had financed the enemies of the extortionists with the money he received during Warner’s lifetime.
C.Gambino murdered – connection to gang crime
C.Gambino, one of the most successful Swedish rappers, was murdered in June 2024 at the age of 26. As the media reported, two men are said to have joined him in a parking garage in Gothenburg and shot him down. The rapper, who was called Karar Ali Salem Ramadan with a bourgeois name, then succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The crime is “related to a conflict between gangs,” said the police spokesman at the time. C.Gambino was known to be officially known. Although there is no concrete indications that the 26-year-old himself was criminal, “hipHop.de” reported, but his environment is said to have been involved in gang crime.
Back then, radio presenter Petter Hallen told the Swedish news agency TT that C.Gambino had recently tried to leave his criminal past musically.
In July, three men for the murder, whom the court described as a “pure execution”, were sentenced to life imprisonment.
