The accident in Staden happened around 11.30 am in Sint-Jansstraat (N36). What exactly went wrong is not yet clear, but there were also two passenger cars involved, which suffered slight damage. The tractor with trailer tilted, and the load of cauliflowers ended up on the road surface. One person was slightly injured.
The accident causes a lot of traffic nuisance. The N36- Sint Jansstraat is completely closed to traffic. This connecting road between Staden and Roeselare is closed from the Crossroads with the Rysseveldestraat/Kerkhofblommestraat to the roundabout in Sleihage. The comprehension works will probably take a few hours.
