Christin Nichols made a name for herself as an actress, voice speaker, composer and singer in the course of her career. Now the German-British announced her third album as a solo singer and published her new single “Cheerleader” on time.
After the dissolution of her electropunk band Prada Meinhoff, Nichols worked on her own music. In 2022 her debut album “I’m Fine” appeared, two years later “Save, who can” (2024). The musician combines influences from post-punk and wave with dark, extensive pop and intimate, chanson-like moments. Her third, self -titled album will be released on March 6, 2026.
Christin Nichols and Stefan Ernst von Isolation Berlin have worked on the new album since autumn 2024. In her third publication, the singer negotiates her own feeling with herself and her environment. “This album, I am exactly at this point of my life,” said the singer.
Her sometimes humorous, often grim search for truth can of course also be found on “Christin Nichols”. It will always be about self -doubt to struggle with your own existence, almost with the whole world.
A great claim that the singer seems to have grown. With its last two plates, the “indie grrrl” secured a permanent place in the German music landscape, including through its gentle combination of symbolic, activist-charged texts and driving melodies.
“Cheerleader”: From the potential of self -love
Just in time for the announcement of her third album, the latest single of the musician: “Cheerleader” will also be released on Wednesday (September 24).
Nichols sings about the pain of loneliness and the healing possibilities of (self) love to energetic indie guitars and flowing keyboard sequences. “‘Cheerleaders’ I wrote in a dark time in which I thought: ‘Oh, who interests it, whether I have existed or not?'”, She explains.
