Elvis Afifa succeeded in taking a medal at the World Cup in Tokyo. The Amsterdam athlete takes bronze together with Nsikak Ekpo, Taymir Burnet and Xavi Mo-Ajok. With a new Dutch record of 37.81 seconds, the Oranje-Quartet was just ahead of Ghana.
With the bronze of the relay women on the 4×400 meters, the Dutch athletics team closes the World Cup in Tokyo with six medals: two gold, two silver and two bronze. It is the second World Cup medal ever for the Dutch men on the Sprintestafette, after the bronze in 2003 by Timothy Beck, Troy Douglas, Patrick van Balkom and Calmin Douglas.
