British singer Robbie Williams’ pop spectacle was built around one of the load-bearing themes.

Robbie Williams’ Olympic Stadium on Saturday, September 20, was not just a nostalgic pop spectacle full of glitter, rock gestures and unforgettable hits. There was one clear plot through the concert: aging.
Williams did not try to pretend to be 25 years old, but even set up a confusing honest and self-irony show for the Helsinki audience.
Williams joked in his peculiar style of middle age, graying, the challenges of children with children, and the fact that the life of the rock star has changed.
– Finns, is I still in it? Are my best days behind? Am I just a fat singer for a take that? Williams asked the Finnish audience.
-You have come to see a middle-aged man in a pink shirt with hard nipples. My nipples are not hard because I am in my cold or excited state – it has not been successful for a long time. My nipples are just such, Williams commented in the middle of the show.
– We are halfway through the gig. I have to eat a banana. Before, I used cocaine and stripes, Williams after eating banana on stage.
For a younger fan, these jokes may have felt strangers – even confusing. However, a spectator in his forties or fifties understood – behind the jokes there was a mirror that showed something identifying with the viewers.

This laughing for himself made the gig surprisingly warm. Williams invited the audience to share the experience of a time that will inevitably take.
Maybe that’s why one of the most beautiful moments of the evening was when he gently asked the audience: Do you want to grow old with me?
It crystallized the whole concert. It was no longer just about Williams and his fans, but a joint trip.
The viewers ‘experience was spanned by numerous Take That references and nostalgic images from Robbie Williams’ career. Atte Kajova
