The fourth joint album is in the works
Since the news about the live comeback, you have recently recently united at the recent edition of the Lido Festival in London and are now working even more concentrated on your fourth album-the proof is in video form.
Because now The XX has published recordings that you show when preparing for your excited comeback. In a video that you posted on Instagram on the evening of September 17, you can see how to play music together in a studio. “We are using our instruments again. Do we see each other in the desert?”, They wrote in the caption and thus alluded to their upcoming appearance at the Coachella Festival.

Jamie XX had already announced last summer that the band was working together on a new album. You would have “a lot of fun,” he said at the time. “It’s like the Avengers!” He said according to “NME”. “We said it ourselves. It’s always so nice to be back with you.” In March they published another update by shared a photo of the three band members in the studio.
In conversation with “NME” on the red carpet of the Brit Awards 2024 about the new music, Romy Croft said: “We are very open and ready to try new things, but it sounds like us. I can’t say more about that at the moment.”
