The inmate closest to President Javier Milei was exposed again in recent days. As it transcended in Olivos, the president informed his collaborators that Pilar Ramírez – closely close to Karina Mile – became the place of Eduardo “Lule” Menem as in charge of the campaign of La Libertad Avanza. The news circulated as confirmed, even with Ramírez presented as New Campaign Chief in some media.
However, the denials quickly appeared. Facundo Chávez, Chief of Policy of Infobae, said in LN+ that the version was not true and said: “Pilar Ramírez will not assume the Headquarters of the National Campaign but that he will play in charge of dialogue with the presidents of La Libertad advances to coordinate the campaign, but it is not that ‘Lule’ Menem has been displaced from the campaign. This decision that was disseminated. ‘Lule’ Menem will continue in the place where he is but will continue and expand his tasks in the question of the Federal Bureau, the province of Buenos Aires and the campaign.
In facts, rather than a formal relay, Menem seems like a “cosmetic run.” Still participating in the campaign tables and held meetings with governors, such as last week in Chaco.
The background is the strap relationship that Javier maintains “lule.” The president had already tried to move him from the campaign table after the bad result in Corrientes -where Libertad Avanza ended in fourth place -but Karina held it. Now, the hypothesis that opens is whether this new movement responds to a pulse among the Milei brothers: Javier seeking to run a leader who never fell into grace and Karina clinging to his main political operator.
The episode occurs in the middle of the persistent shadow of Coimagate, which left “Lule” in the public and weakened sights before the general opinion. Despite that, the Secretary General of the Presidency insists on holding it. The result is an ambiguous picture: it is officially given by displaced, but in practice it continues to move as if nothing had changed.
