Carpetright was declared bankrupt by the judge today. The flooring company has three branches in Drenthe: in Assen, Emmen and Hoogeveen. There are 75 Carpetright stores throughout the Netherlands, where around 350 people worked.
The stores will remain closed in the coming period, until the trustees have more clarity about any restart or takeover options. According to Carpetright’s management, the company was ‘Basic Healthy’. However, investments and start -up problems When using a new software system have led to problems, the trustees report.
The trustees request carpetright customers who are waiting for their order not to contact us. In this stage they say they cannot answer any questions yet. As soon as there is more clarity, the trustees will contact themselves.
