The renovation of De Dolphijn swimming pool in Hoogeveen is running out. Bath guests must be patient for a week and a half before they can take another dip.
The major maintenance in the dolphin started on Monday, August 18. We then worked on a new coating of the baths, repair of the bath edges and renovation of the lift. According to the municipality, the work is necessary to continue to comply with safety standards and regulations.
The expectation was that the swimming pool could open its doors again next Monday, but that will not work. The municipality indicates that the work is running, among other things, because the new coating must dry extra.
“We understand that this is very annoying. But this is necessary to ensure that the swimming pool can remain safe, reliable and future -proof,” said the municipality. The swimming pool has around 158,000 visitors a year.
The dolphin will open completely on Wednesday 1 October. To catch up with the missed swimming lessons, the lessons also take place during the autumn holidays.
