After the dismissal of Dimitrios Grammozis, FC Schalke 04 is looking for a new coach for the coming season. One candidate is said to be Kosta Runjaic. But is the 50-year-old available at all?

But Büsken’s time as head coach is limited. From the summer, a fresh coach should finally be on the sidelines. According to the latest rumors, Kosta Runjaic could be a candidate in Gelsenkirchen.
Runjaic has been coaching the Polish first division club Pogon Stettin since the end of 2017 and is currently at the top of the Ekstraklasa table with the club. But after the season, the 50-year-old, who has already looked after VfR Aalen, Darmstadt 98, MSV Duisburg, 1. FC Kaiserlautern and 1860 Munich in Germany, is looking for a new challenge, as he publicly announced at the end of last week.
“It wasn’t an easy decision, my heart hurts. But I’m still here. If you get the feeling in life that you have to change something, then you have to do it,” Runjaic said at a press conference, but did not reveal , how and where it will continue for him.
Runjaic has been associated with two clubs in the Polish media since his departure was announced: Legia Warsaw and FC Schalke 04.
Schalke sports director Schröder is considered a Runjaic fan
