Wilfred Genee insults today’s regular royalty fan by pretending that he cannot remember the name of these Rick Evers. Yet he remains faithful to VI. “I’m not going to RTL Tonight.”
We see him popping up sporadically at the bar of today: Rick Evers, the royalty expert who ended up in a rather foolish fight two years ago with his fallen colleague Marc van der Linden. Yesterday Rick was again at the bar, this time in the context of Prinsjesdag. Host Wilfred Genee, however, seems to have doubts about his added value.
“Who is that guy?”
Wilfred acts during the announcement of the guests as if he no longer knows Rick’s name. “Now I know again: Rick Evers,” he then shouts In the talk show on SBS 6.
He adds very fake: “I think: who is that guy again? What do I know from? But you have been here more often of course.”
Just like Johnny
Johan Derksen looks at that Wilfred no longer knows the name of his own guest. “You will be a bit of Johnny de Mol, right?”
Wilfred then points to Johnny’s Blunder with Ingrid Coenradie: “Yes, Ingrid didn’t know that either!”
Johan: “Johnny always had a leaf.”
Wilfred then: “Good that you are there, Rick.”
Rick: “Isn’t it?”
Prinsjesdag
Wilfred then clearly shows that he does not have a high cap of Rick’s profession. “But you come because of Prinsjesdag, I assume?”
Rick: “I think so too.”
When it is later about the flopped RTL 4 talk show RTL Tonight, Wilfred asks: “Are you also approached, Rick?”
Unquested
Merel Ek, who sits next to Rick, was asked for the RTL talk show, but not Rick. “No, of course not.”
Wilfred: “Of course not?”
Rick is just as if he belongs to the VI furniture: “Well, I’m here, fine.”
Table guest Job Knoester surprised: “You are sitting here? He didn’t even know your name.”
