Rav van den Berg has been successfully operated on. The most expensive Cologne access of this transfer summer suffered a shoulder -deck blast at 3: 3 in Wolfsburg last Saturday. As can be heard from the Geißbockheim, the intervention went as planned.
Van den Berg, who came from the English second division club Middlesbrough for eight million euros plus, FC “several weeks” will be missing, as the club says. The Dutchman had fallen unhappily on the shoulder against VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday after a foul by Lovro Majer and had to be replaced. The medical examination on Sunday then showed the bitter diagnosis: the central defender has suffered a shoulder -deck blast and will have to undergo surgery during the week.
After the operation, the shoulder joint is immobilized for four to six weeks before van Denberg can start training again. This will probably have to do without their royal transfer at least until November. For van den Berg, FC had transferred eight million euros to FC Middlesbrough this summer. Against Wolfsburg, the new addition was in the starting eleven for the second time in a row. Now the painful setback.

Jakub Kaminski saved the 1st FC Köln one point at VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon. His goal was even a historical place of work: the Pole scored in the 14th minute of stoppage time – a player in the Bundesliga has never scored a later goal since stopping (1992). Previously, a team -mate from Kaminski had the record with Marius Bülter. In 2023, the attacker met in the 12th minute of stoppage time for FC Schalke 04 at the 1st FSV Mainz 05.
