Although he has been very critical about party leader Dilan Yesilgöz for some time, SBS 6-Megaster Johan Derksen makes no secret that he generally embraces the VVD ideas. Now he makes his political preference a bit clearer, because he has become a member of the party to become a list pusher in the municipality of Aa and Hunze.

AA and Hunze

Johan confirms the news himself Today Inside. “I am going to set up that on the right of the Netherlands, because I have to honestly say: the alderman has been with me this weekend and I have let myself be persuaded to stand on the list of the municipality of Aa and Hunze.”

“He had already been last year. Then for the first time they have a VVD member in their midst who is very critical of the VVD and they will have to get used to it.”

Independent

Wilfred Genee is worried about Johan’s bias in the run -up to the parliamentary elections. “But wait a minute: you must always be able to sit independently at this table?”

Johan: “Yes, but I feel totally independent.”

It leads to laughter at the table. Johan: “I am starting to take Henk Kamp his honorary member as an honorary member. I find that so shocking.”

Political ambitions

Johan excludes that he is actually going into the city council. “I am on the list to be chosen for the city council. Not that I can ever go to the meeting, because I have to sit here every night … I have no political ambitions at all, but list pusher is completely in, isn’t it?”

But he can still get so many voices that he is supposed to go into the council, just like Albert Verlinde? “Well, you can decide that yourself, but the collective agreement of John de Mol is holy.”

“We’re tracing”

Bargast Chris Woerts indicates that he is also VVD member. “I am a list pusher of the VVD in Maassluis.”

Wilfred: “Yes, but guys, we are tracing a bit. We are an objective and independent program in which everyone only gives their opinion on the basis of a healthy journalistic impact.”

Johan: “Yes, but the VVD is a party that you don’t have to be ashamed of. It is all decency. What I start with in Drenthe is: all illegal wolves out of the country.”

Rural voice

Wilfred wonders what Johan will vote nationally. “Are you going to vote VVD nationwide or do you not know that yet?”

Johan: “Well, I do not rule out that I am voting for another party, because I am not so enthusiastic about the VVD. (…) You have to sign up as a member and I did that this afternoon via the internet. I think they are very happy to have me in at the head office.”
