The 38-year-old Plat was the assistant of Dick Schreuder at PEC Zwolle and moved with Schreuder to Spain in 2023. Various Dutch players also came to the ambitious club from the Valencia region, but have all left.
As a football player, Plat played for FC Volendam, Telstar and the German Hansa Rostock, among others.
