FOOTBALL – Former FC Emmen player Luciano Slagveer (30) returned to the Oude Meerdijk on Friday evening. The winger nowadays defends the colors of Top Oss, although he himself had a return at FC Emmen.
Slagveer saw his team tied in extremis, but did not find it a stolen point. “Especially the first 22 minutes, up to the penalty, we played well,” he judges after the game. “I’m glad we finally go back into the bus with a point.”
He liked the reunion with his old club. “Nice to be able to celebrate the party,” he says. His best memory of his time at FC Emmen is the enforcement in the 2018/2019 season. His goal in the 3-3 against Feyenoord is also clear to him. “Those are the great competitions in your career,” he says. “I had good years here. It feels like coming home.”
According to Slagveer, the fact that he has not come home in recent years was not due to the offside player himself. “If it is up to me, I will come back here again, but then they must also agree above,” he says, referring to the policymakers at FC Emmen.
