The fire broke out just before 2 a.m. at the terraced house. As a precaution, the residents of surrounding houses also had to leave their house.

The pets did not make it. The animal ambulance Amsterdam says that one of the cats has been resuscitated. “The fire brigade had already started before we were there,” says an employee. “They were of course there earlier. We then took over the resuscitation, but the cat died. Quite intense.”
