Parcels float over the clouds as ever. Multi -layered rhythms that slowly but safely build up and drive the melody into their euphoric goal. The guitars light, the bassline unpredictable, the four-part vocal harmonies airy, the sunny indie radio winds leisurely through the ear canals. A gentle summer breeze in the hair, a slight smell of salt in the nose.

The classic Parcels formula may have remained the same, but the Australian Berliners have developed on Loved than for a long time. After eleven years together, appearances on both coachella hunters and with the first arena tours on the horizon, Parcels, according to his own statement, no longer feel like “The Kids in the Room Learning as They Go”.
A change that can be heard. The death -loving text of the separation song “YouGotMefeeling”, equipped with the perhaps happy melody of the whole album, has almost something strange. “Everybodyelse” transports the heaviness of having to see that not everyone can be something special, and “Safeandsound” holds it: the listeners: caught in a feeling of powerlessness, only to bring all the oppressed feelings to the boil again in an explosive instrumental passage. The parcels that we have known and love for a long time can be heard on Loved. Only with a new depth of the feeling that you have to work out as a band.
