Recommendations of the Editorial team

BRMC is such a band that doesn’t know when it is over. But in a good way. Even after a solid one-hour gig, it was happy to have occurred in the past that Robert Levon Been was booting back onto the stage and delivering an entire Acoustic session with the wishes of the audience. And even after that, it could happen that further pieces in a reduced version in front of the club were received live from the same guy, mostly naturally in stylish black clothing and without much fanfare. Anyone who has experienced something like this personally cannot help but manifest this type of rock’n’roll and closeness as a new holy grail. And to want more more.

BRMC sweeping back – tour start is imminent

Just good that Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is starting to tour again. For a long time it had become calm about the band that worked like a bulwark. Front man Peter Hayes devoted himself to solo projects, Robert Levon Been worked on soundtracks and charity collaborations, while drummer Leah Shapiro had to collect new strength after health setbacks. The still current record of the trio from San Francisco was released in 2018. On “Wrong Creatures” you noticed that they were creating a lot. Peter Hayes and Robert Levon Been also talked about psychological problems, and Leah Shapiro had to make a vital brain surgery beforehand. They recently sounded bleak on the plate as ever – but also that getting out of the swamp would not be an easy thing.

News after “Wrong Creatures” – at least live

But the introspection has now reached an end that the rock formation that has existed for over two decades is on the road again. After a few US dates, Europe and Germany are also coming. In addition to Berlin, Cologne and Munich, the appearance at Rolling Stone Beach represents another essential stop on their tour. Which is why you shouldn’t miss it: there are three people to experience live that make the most beautiful noise like an entire football team after a home win. The shoegazes can be done, but can also be straightforward and that allow such an incredible closeness that are so rare for rock bands of this caliber.

20 years of “Howl”: The anniversary tour of BRMC

And if that’s not enough to be happy about your appearance on the Weissenhäuser Strand: you are currently bringing your third album “Howl” into the stage. Because so they want to celebrate the 20th birthday of the record, on which they have a new step, more towards gospel and folk, dared, dared. A high on it!
