Is Nicolien van Vroonhoven tackled too hard in the talk show of Eva Jinek or is this part of a political career? Opinions are divided. “She didn’t deliver a master interview but Tirade!”

Nicolien van Vroonhoven did not succeed in entering the footsteps of Pieter Omtzigt in a credible way. In the meantime, she has decided not to stand on the list of candidates of the NSC and let Pieter and she will leave one mess. Eva Jinek interviewed her very strictly about that yesterday in her talk show Eva on NPO 1.

Public punishment

Was Eva perhaps a bit too strict? There was ‘only Kilte’, says Tina Nijkamp TV authority. “No smile, no soothing word, no spark of understanding. As if she consciously decided to turn the switch: from cordial and empathetic to harsh and strict,” she writes De Telegraaf.

According to Tina, it was too strict. “Instead of some nuance or compassion, she was out to let Nicolien only feel even more guilty about the failure of NSC. The result was not an interview, but a public punishment.”

Sonja Barend Award

Eva was far too eager, says Tina. “Eva applied for the Sonja Barend Award, but delivered a tirade instead of a master interview.”

Ad-Opiniediva Angela de Jong disagrees. “What did she think then? A bunch of flowers and a hug from Eva? A video message from Pieter Omtzigt, who, while he hired his tears, thanked her for everything she had done for him and his party?” She writes cynically in the newspaper.

Pity

No, Angela does not feel sorry for Nicolien. “She and her party have had a chance and that revealed it. They have damaged the precious trust of a lot of voters. Even the members of NSC no longer believe in her. She was allowed to feel and can feel that for a moment.”

And Victor VLAM? It is also annoyed by Nicolien. The TV critic writes down X: “Van Vroonhoven could have seen this coming. Then don’t sit there, I think. This performance was full of self-pity and that is the last thing the NSC campaign needs.”
