There is a plan for the construction of 35 homes in Veeningen. On the south side of the village, along the Schoolweg, Bramer project development wants to create a mix of rental and owner-occupied homes.
The company does this together with the owner of the land. The intention is that there will be starter homes, detached houses, terraced houses and semi-detached houses. A part is sold, and some go into the rental.
Interested parties were recently able to view the first sketches of the houses. Lars Rouhof from Bramer Projectontwikkeling says that the prices for the owner -occupied houses are not yet fixed.
The amounts are in line with the wishes of the municipality, De Wolden wants affordable homes between 3 and 4.5 tons. The idea is to build the new neighborhood in two phases.
In the past the plan was smaller and there would be around fifteen homes. A number of local residents did not like that. Milieudefensie Drenthe and the Drents Landschap also have a consideration, because the houses would come too close to an existing grove.
Rouhof says that the company is aware of the concerns of the objectioners. “However, it is true that not everything is final. With the walk -in meetings we also hope to discuss everything with everyone to remove doubts.”
The project developer indicates that plan is still in the initial phase and that studies still have to be done. “Everyone has the chance to respond to argue points for improvement.”
When the houses are built, it cannot yet say. “It is too early for that at the moment, first we will continue to work with the input of the neighborhood,” said Rouhof.
