In September, student month, Fundación Integrate launches the collection campaign “Integrate to transform. Your donation changes a story”. Donations will allow to climb their model and reach more young people with low resources of the AMBA with scholarships for university and technological education. Each scholarship changes their lives and those of their families. The very high rate of graduates shows that there is no lack of talent but opportunities.
Integra Fundación has been working for almost 20 years for young people with low resources to study, progress, have new horizons. The strength idea is, as Anabella Maudet, executive director of the Foundation says, who “who” who “A country does not progress when its citizens have to use their intelligence to survive in an adverse context or overcome an unstable economy, but when they become professionals and have the opportunity to contribute their talent and their uniqueness to society. In Argentina, thousands of young people encounter barriers that have nothing to do with talent or capacity, but with the lack of support resources and networks. They are potential scientists, lawyers, economists, engineers and innovatives, that if they had the opportunity to display their talent, they could change their lives and contribute to society.
The “Integrate to transform. Your donation changes a story” It seeks to bring more donors and translate it into more scholarships. Investing in these young people is not charity: it is a development policy made from civil society, it is to be part of a deed that converts people who are in the limits of exclusion into integral and active citizens. With more resources, more vacancies and more graduates could be actively integrated into the productive system.
Foundation’s impact numbers show that 95% of graduates have formal job, 84% work in the area of their career, 60% perceive a salary higher than the family basket, 72% are women. These are people eager for opportunities that make the most of each possibility to break the so -appointed “circle of poverty.”
The Integrate Foundation mission is to accompany young people with low economic resources so that they can carry out their higher level studies. In Argentina the university is public and free, however, those who live in popular neighborhoods have little or no chance to get to receive. Sometimes because families need all their members of working age to do so. In other cases, young people do not have the money needed to travel or buy notes, and many times families lack the social and cultural capital necessary to give meaning and value to the effort involved in making a university career. When the Integrar Foundation offers studies scholarships to these young people, in short, it seeks to favor their social mobility.
