The Dortmund -based retailer Tedi GmbH & Co. KG has continued to expand its expansion in Croatia. Last Thursday, the discounter opened its 100 branch in the country in Split. At the same time, two more new shops in Pula and Zagreb had started their business, the company said on Friday.

“Three branches in one day are a strong signal for the future of Tedi,” said CEO Petar Burazin in a statement. “In particular, the branch in Split with our new storage concept represents a milestone of our expansion strategy and underlines the Tedi innovative strength.”

The current growth plans provide to enlarge the branch network in Croatia by another 30 shops. New locations are “primarily planned in city centers and residential areas,” said Tedi.

Overall, the discounter is currently represented with more than 3,600 branches in 15 countries. The medium -term goal is 5,000 locations, in the long term the retailer sees “potential for 10,000 branches in Europe”.
