Jewish schools, institutions and organizations in the Netherlands can rely on a new safety fund from 15 September. With the Security Jewish Institutions Regulation, the government offers support for the high costs for safety measures that are necessary to guarantee the safety of Jewish communities. This fund is an initiative of the cabinet, in collaboration with the National Coordinator of Antisemitism.
The Fund, part of the National Strategy Fighting Anti -Semitism 2024-2030, makes € 1.3 million available annually. This allows security cameras, access controls, safety advice and extra security personnel (partly) to be financed (partly).
The scheme is intended to support Jewish schools, cultural institutions, religious communities and organizers of events in the structural and sometimes high costs they incur to protect their visitors, students and members.
Organizations that want to be eligible can submit their application from 15 September to 31 October. More information about conditions, criteria and deadlines is available through the Government Gazette: Staatscourant 2025, 30580 | Government.nl> Official announcements.
