ROma, 4 sets. (askanews) – It has become a fixed appointment, expected by hundreds of dancers. Ondance returns to Milan (from 3 to 7 September), the great Dance Festival conceived and directed by Roberto Bolle, now in its eighth edition. In the images of the past years the scenic white dance in Piazza Duomo (an event symbol of the event, created in collaboration with Assodance). This year many news, starting from the new location, the arch of peace, which will host the main stage and most of the events, tells the Etoile.

“The arch of peace is a new location, I think it is also important to have a scenography different from the other years and I think it is a beautiful natural scenography for our platform and for the events of the dance in white and the Ballorosso. And this year precisely as a novelty there is that of the red dance, because we wanted not only to make the preparation lesson, the one at the bar of the dance in white, but also to have a moment of dance, then prepare a choreography and dance with all the boys and this will be a choreography. Moment of the Ballorosso on Bolero’s music in which we will all dance together ”.

An event that grows every year, “attention and requests, says Roberto Bolle – are the highest ever”. “There have been great demands for the dance in white, more than 5,000, but we will only have 2,200 boys because more than so the square cannot contain it; we will have about 1,500 seats for the Ballorosso and every day hundreds of boys for all the OpenClass that we will make on the platform, and then the dance evenings also there with hundreds of people”.

A week of dance for the city, from morning per night, for all levels and styles, because dance is really for everyone assures bubbles. “We have increased the OpenClass, also including the k-pop and other disciplines that were not planned other years, precisely because of the interest among the very young. We also have lessons for the over 40s, therefore for those who start dancing after, some for the very young, even for children, others instead for people who approach dance later, to celebrate all types of dance and to say that dance can really be for everyone”.

The book “Roberto Bolle” (published by Rizzoli) also comes out, which celebrates the career and life of the Étoile through the most beautiful images of his artistic path. In addition, this Ondance is included in the schedule of the Cultural Olympics of Milan-Cortina and celebrates the relationship between dance and sports: meetings with champions such as Carolina Kostner and Arianna Fontana is expected. “In dance and in sport there are many connections. The physical preparation that occupies the hours of daily work that is for the dancer and for the athlete, especially the mental preparation that prepares the dancer to stage before a show or the athlete for a race” adds Bolle.
