Slovenia’s Finnish Broadcasting Company says it has shown Ebu several times about the Eurovision Song Contest without success.

Slovenia may not be seen in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Last spring, the country was represented by Klemen Slaonja with his song How much do we have left?. Aop

Slovenia Broadcasting Rtvslo is unlikely to participate in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest, reported Eurovoixsite.

RTVSLO Xenija Horvat tells the official Broadcasting Company on the websitethat they dealt with the subject at their latest meeting.

According to Horvat, one of the reasons for the decision is that the European Broadcasting Association (EBU) has not responded to their inquiries of the event’s participation rules.

– As you know, much has happened since April. We have sent several requests to Ebu to attend more dialogue with small channels on the rules of the Eurovision Song Contest. We asked very precise questions and suggestions, similar to last year, but we were ignored both times, says Horvat.

– As a result, we realistically believe that we will not participate in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest, as we have publicly stated. If we do not access the contract with EBU, we are not involved, which will make this program concept irrelevant to us, he says.

Rtvslo says he made it clear in early July in London that it would not participate in Eurovision if Israel participates in the competition.

Rtvslo says he also sent a letter to Ebu in May. In a letter, RTVSLO announced that it would reconsider participation in Eurovision if EBU takes concrete action and deals with problems.

– As Slovenia’s television director, I take a serious and growing care of Israel’s continuous participation in EBU events, especially Eurovision. Unfortunately, the answer we received did not contain convincing or concrete explanations and did not reflect the urgency and severity of the matter.

– During this time, the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian regions has worsened, and public concern, both in Slovenia and in Europe, has grown significantly.

Israeli’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest has been controversial several times. In the spring, Yuval Raphael, who represented Israel, finished second in the competition with New Day Will Rise. Aop
