A pedestrian with a visual impairment was almost hit by a car in Odoorn. That happened last Wednesday evening on the Molenweg.
The pedestrian and a companion wanted to cross when a small red car came by at high speed. He touched the blind mock that kept the pedestrian up as a sign to cross.
The motorist would have stopped and put an object like firearm out of the window, followed by a loud bang and a clear flash could be seen. Then the car drove away at high speed in the direction of the center of Odoorn.
The police have conducted a neighborhood investigation and are investigating camera images.
