Luxembourg (dpa -AFX) – The sales in retail Euro zone fell more than expected in July. In the month comparison, revenues dropped by 0.5 percent, as the European Statistics Office Eurostat announced on Thursday in Luxembourg. Economists had only expected a decline of 0.3 percent.
However, sales in June had increased more than initially found. The statistics office revised the increase to 0.6 percent after an increase had previously been determined by 0.3 percent.
