“For the correct payer, the landlord is happy to ask a little less.” Rental prices in Flanders are rising less strongly: you pay so much in your municipality

The rental market cools down. In the first half of 2025, prices did rise, but less strong than in recent years. For example, you paid an average of 893 euros for an apartment and 1,014 euros for a ride house. Nevertheless, the market continues to suffer with problems, HLN real estate expert Bjorn Cocquyt knows. He shares tips to easily save hundreds of euros as a tenant: “I recommend someone who wants to rent as cheaply as possible, not just to look at the apartment itself.”
