Ilkay Gündoğan’s second farewell to Manchester City is taking on increasingly concrete forms. According to Fabrizio Romano, the 34 -year -old midfielder was given permission to fly to Istanbul on Tuesday to finalize his transfer to Galatasaray. There is a transfer in the room until June 2027, according to Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the German ex-international waves an annual salary of 5 million euros. An agreement between Gündoğan and Galatasaray is imminent. Everything should already be clarified between the clubs.
The first rumors about a change from the veteran to the new employer of ex-Bavaria professional Leroy Sané (29) had been in mid-June. In Manchester, the former Dortmund Gündoğan is contractually bound for a year. “Not just another year, but at least two years, maybe even three or four years,” he wants to continue playing professional football despite advanced age. The “Sport Bild” recently revealed this. At the Citizens, where Gündoğan had not returned in Barcelona after a year after a year, he came up in the championship in the Champions League and 25 games in the Champions League and 25 games from the start – with great impact in the season finale. In the newly running season, however, Gündoğan remained outside.
Unlike in the top European leagues, the transfer window in Turkey only concludes on September 12th. In addition to Gündoğan, Galatasaray has apparently also dared to advance with Ademola Lookman, who was recently traded at Bayern. According to Sabuncuoğlu, the 25-time Turkish champion exchanged ideas with Atalanta Bergamo and the player advisor of the 27-year-old attacker. The Serie-A-Club demands a transfer fee of 55 million euros. Galatasaray, on the other hand, is planning a “strategic move” as in the case of Victor Osimhen (26). It is conceivable that this personnel will take up speed again in ten days until the transfer.
After the previous loan, Osimhen was recently committed to 75 million euros by SSC Naples. 40 million euros will flow to Italy this summer, in two rates the remaining 35 million euros are due. In addition, there is a resale clause for Naples of 10 percent of the future profit. The previous record purchase of the Süper Lig was thus outbid to three times. Until the end of the contract in 2029, Osimhen will receive an annual salary of 15 million euros net per season plus 5 million euros for the image rights and a loyalty bonus of one million euros. As in the previous year, Galatasaray was dependent on the help of sponsors when financing the transfer, which is why the negotiations lasted for a long time. Similar things could run with Lookman.
From Galatasaray to Udinese: Zaniolo awarded for the fourth time
Meanwhile, the offensive midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo has found the next club. Since his switch -on -back movement to the Süper Lig 2023 for 15 million euros, the Italian, accompanied by scandals, has been awarded for the fourth time by Galatasaray, this time to Udinese Calcio. The Serie-A representative pays a rental fee of EUR 2.5 million, and a purchase option was also agreed. The 26-year-old Zaniolo still has a contract in Istanbul until 2027. Finally, the Fiorentina waived a commitment from the professional.
