NS refuses to buy extra trains forever busy autumn: ‘tens of millions for two hours a week cannot be explained’

The trains are again packed this first Tuesday of September: the autumn is peak time on the track and at the NS they count the days until the first students drop out again. To create space, NS wants to spread travelers better again in rush hour, says director Tijmen Voetmen. That is not easy without a spit levy.
