For weeks, the transfer posses sustained striker Alexander Isak. Now the Liverpool FC is officially making the obligation.

Striker Alexander Isak changes from Newcastle United to Liverpool FC. Both clubs announced this on Monday evening. ISAK is the new record transfer of the Premier League with a rained transfer fee of the equivalent of up to 150 million euros.

“Newcastle United can announce the sale of striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool for a significant British record removal,” the club wrote in an extremely tight statement. “The Swedish international came from Real Sociedad to the Magpies in 2022 and completed 109 missions in all competitions,” says just one further sentence.

The Liverpool FC announced that Isak had signed a “long -term contract” and that the number of the number would bear nine in the future. Isak itself is quoted in the club announcement: “I feel great. It was a long journey here. But I am very happy to be part of this team, this club and everything he stands for. It is something that I am proud of and that I look forward to.”

“I’m just happy to be able to work again,” continues Isak. He wanted to give the club much more than just goals. “I want to win everything,” said his announcement.

With the obligation, a week-long transfer posses around the Swedes end. Isak and Newcastle had publicly reproached each other because Isak wanted to change, but Newcastle did not want to let him go at first. In the end, the commitment of Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart, which ISAK will replace in the storm, was decisive. The club had paid around 85 million euros for the German striker.

With the ISAK transfer, Liverpool puts a spectacular end of the end of a real shopping frenzy this summer. The Club from the Angard Road had previously spent almost 340 million euros on new stars, including for international Florian Wirtz (125 million euros) as well as for Hugo Ekitiké (95) and Jeremie Frimpong (40).

The former Dortmund Isak was the second best scorer of the Premier League behind Mohamed Salah from FC Liverpool with 23 goals in the previous season.

So far, the 125 million euros for Leverkusener Wirtz had been the largest sum that an English club paid for a player. This is followed by world champion Enzo Fernández, for which FC Chelsea transferred around 121 million to Benfica Lisbon. Manchester City had invested 117.65 million in Jack Grialish from Aston Villa.
