An accident happened this afternoon on the A28 at the Hoogeveen junction. That leads to a traffic jam of several kilometers. The road is currently closed for traffic to Assen and the connection with the A37.
How many vehicles are involved in the accident is not known. It is also unclear whether there were injuries.
Road users can take a detour for the time being via the A32 and the A7.
