Evert Santegoeds thinks that he is jointly responsible for one of the greatest failures in the career of Albert Verlinde: 6 Inside. “I had a scoop that they really should have had.”
It had to be the big return of Albert Verlinde on Dutch television: the prestige project 6 Inside. The program was marketed by SBS 6 in January 2019 as RTL Boulevard-Killer. In the end, the show lasted for half a year, which is still an achievement in itself, since the viewing figures were downright miserable.
Bang
Private boss Evert Santegoeds tells in the podcast Strictly private That 6 inside had a terribly painful start by him. “When I got to know him, he did very different work than I did, later he did come in my neighborhood, but that keeps each other sharp. That is also witty. We have sometimes competed, yes.”
“I remember that he started with 6 Inside and the day after that first broadcast came up with the unveiling that Erland and Wendy van Dijk would divorce. In the end that came together again. This week we said:” That was actually the end of 6 inside on the first day, “because they should have had that as a big hit of course.”
Pleasant evening
Evert refers to that Albert was joining him in Shownieuws last week. “Yes, that was a pleasant evening, yes. I have known Albert for so long. Really since the late 70s, early 80s, when he was still at the Kleinkunstacademie and put his first steps in the theater, so we go very far back. That is always funny when you meet again.”
Now the gentlemen are becoming somewhat competitors again, because Albert is a regular guest in the new RTL Tonight. “Well, I’m curious what they bake from it.”
