BVB with the first win of the season – but also some problems

Borussia Dortmund is back with his first victory in the new Bundesliga season. BVB was particularly able to rely on one player.
Successful recovery. After Borussia Dortmund played a 3-1 lead against St. Pauli last weekend (final score: 3: 3), the first win of the season was achieved on the second matchday: a clear 3-0 against Union Berlin.
BVB was once again able to rely on striker Serhou Guirassy, who quickly made everything clear with a double pack (44./58.). Felix Nmecha added the third goal in the 81st minute and thus made the clear result perfect in the end.
In view of the personnel problems in the Dortmund defense, the Aarón Anselmino, borrowed from FC Chelsea, immediately came to his starting debut. The Argentinian had only been signed in the past few days, had to go directly because of the failures of Emre Can, Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Süle (all injured) and Filippo Mané (Redperre) and was one of the few bright spots in the Dortmund game.
The 20-year-old central defender was one of three new players who had appointed BVB coach Niko Kovač to the team compared to the disappointing game at the Bundesliga start. Attacker Fábio Silva, on the other hand, who had been signed by the Wolverhampton Wanderers for 20 million euros at the end of the week, was not yet in the squad. “He will work intensively in the next two weeks,” said Kovač before the game at DAZN about the upcoming international break. Accordingly, the Portuguese still suffers from adductor problems.
In contrast to the Furioses 6-0 against Union in spring, the game of BVB did not really get going this time. The first excitement in the game was a violent collision after a good quarter of an hour between Jobe Bellingham and Berlin’s Andrej Ilić, who then continued with a head bandage after a break of treatment.
The great chance of the Dortmund leadership resulted from a blatant individual mistake by Union Tom Rothe, who played a short back pass on goalkeeper Frederik Rönnow. Guirassy ran in between and alone on Rönnow, but was still miserable here. Shortly before, the striker had given a good opportunity too lightly.
