Arminia goes back to Berlin

In the second round of the DFB Cup there is a duel between two Champions League participants. Borussia Dortmund travels to Eintracht Frankfurt. FC Bayern also has to go away, which will deal with the 1st FC Köln on the Rhine.
Cup fright and previous year’s finalist Arminia Bielefeld goes back to Berlin, but not to the Olympic Stadium. FC Union is waiting in the second round of cup at the old forester’s shop. The only remaining fourth division team, FV Illertissen from the regional league Bayern, can compete with second division team 1. FC Magdeburg. For third division team Energie Cottbus, the east duel is against RB Leipzig.
It is not easy for defending champion VfB Stuttgart. The Swabians are guest at FSV Mainz 05. There are other Bundesliga duels in the games between 1. FC Heidenheim and Hamburger SV as well as FC St. Pauli and TSG Hoffenheim.
The second round is scheduled for the 28th and 29th October. The round of 16 follows in early December. The final in the Berlin Olympic Stadium will increase on May 23, 2026.
