Football second division Karlsruher SC has strengthened with Leon Opitz von Werder Bremen.
As the KSC announced on Sunday, the 20-year-old changes loan to the Badeners, who also have a purchase option.
Opitz, who has already completed three Bundesliga missions for Werder in the past, was most recently used in the regional league.
“Leon is a player with an exciting profile and variable in different systems. It brings speed, creativity and risk of gate. The loan with a purchase option gives us the opportunity to integrate it into our team best as possible and at the same time open a long-term perspective,” said KSC managing director Mario Eggimann.
