In Mantinge there is a shack where the friendship is very close. What started as boys who were a bit together in the shed grew into a complete shack with pirate channel. “The children started playing the guitar here, but that grew to this.
De Keet even has its own pirate channel that is broadcast live. “Station PLC, or the rural commands”, as they call themselves. And of course they still run on real LPs. The most expensive? That is an LP of 450 euros and that only for the song ‘Five musicians’.
Grandma Marga remains the backbone of everything. Often a few boys stay with her and then she still bakes eggs for the men at night. “Then there is very big gang in my kitchen, but that doesn’t matter.”
