MTV meteorologist Liisa Rintaniemi balances between family life, work and a new career.

Rintaniemi, 46, has a 3-year-old evening star at home in addition to teenage boys. The firstborn got a rip in the summer and the middle one is sixth grade.

As the public has been often stated, Rintaniemi has been studying as a doctor since 2015. Studies have been in the final stages for a few years. However, Rintaniemi has also sought to prioritize other life in his life, so the project has gone under its own weight.

– There have been all other projects and even the youngest was born during their studies, so that kind of hurry has disappeared from this project, says Rintaniemi.

Now, however, Rintaniemi is at the point that he plans to complete his degree this fall.

– It’s a project this fall to get the papers of the licentiate, that is, the general practitioners, says Rintaniemi, and goes on to say that he still has the final thesis to write.

Rintaniemi has already worked as a doctor in occupational health care. Work as a doctor and meteorologist has been successful through part-time contracts.

– My introvert nature also likes to go out at the computer sometimes, Rintaniemi laughs.

Some patients have identified at Rintaniemi’s office, but Rintaniemi himself hopes that patients will not even think about it. He hopes that at the receptions, the main point will remain in the patients and not in him himself.

22 years

Waking up to the Morning Finland broadcast is already over three at night. Although Rintaniemi has made a long 22 -year career, the morning wakes up do not press him.

– I have trained myself that when the clock rings in the morning, then we leave.

– Of course, people always complain about if the weather forecasts are wrong. However, there could be a weather forecast from 2000, he laughs.

“At that time, you couldn’t dream of getting the weather forecasts from your mobile phone,” he continues.

However, forecasts have become more refined over the years. There have also been changes in the presentation of the weather and animation has become an important part of weather broadcasts. Even the forecasting of the weather has become more entertaining over the years than before. Meteorologists have become media characters, such as online videos.

Rintaniemi estimates that in the future artificial intelligence will change things even further.
