N-VA wants to put elderly care on a different footing. For example, the proportion of elderly people in residential facilities must be reduced and the elderly must be able to choose more for themselves. The party also wants to introduce person-tracking financing and make foster care for the elderly possible. “There are, for example, more options for the elderly than just the choice between staying at home or moving to a residential care center”, says Flemish MP Lorin Parys, who has developed a concept note together with party members.
